Tinder Dating Disaster
Dating apps have become popular as they speed up the process of meeting someone. We mentioned this in our article, Dating App Cuts to the Chase. We also mentioned the downside to dating apps in our article Identify Theft with Dating Apps. Another grim aspect of dating apps was reported in the New York Daily News. A man was charged with sexually assaulting a tinder date.
A California teenager was arrested after he allegedly attacked a girl he met on Tinder, police said Wednesday.
Jake Powers, 19, is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at a Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. home in July, according to authorities. The two had agreed to meet after a short conversation.
Police say Powers grabbed the girl as they made their way to the back of the residence, put her in a headlock and slammed her to the ground before covering her mouth and sexually assaulting her.
The suspect is in custody with bond set at a quarter of a million dollars. His dating profile on Tinder was a fake. The victim in this case is warning others to be more careful and not be so impulsive when meeting up with someone they meet on apps like Tinder.
Online Dating Precautions
No matter how quickly an app allows you to meet someone and hook up it is wise to use a little common sense. Years ago we wrote about online dating precautions.
In the new world of the internet it is possible to find the man or woman of your dreams but it is best to follow a few online dating cautions. The internet is a fast and effective means of meeting a lot of people. Many have met, dated, and married as a result of the internet dating sites. Too many have also had bad experiences that could have been avoided by following a few online dating cautions. The two most important online dating precautions are probably these. Trust your instincts and get out of any online relation that does not feel good. If you are suspicious there are anonymous email addresses through Yahoo and others but before going to such lengths just consider looking for someone else.
There are a lot of bad ways for a date to end that do not involve sexual assault. Use a little common sense even in the fast paced world of dating apps.
Fast Dates and Quick Sex
Everyone fantasizes about sex on the first date. For this to work out successfully you need prepare and also take precautions. Check out the person by chatting with them and first of all meeting in a public place where you have an easy exit if things are not going well. And if they do go well-
Bring condoms. Decide where you are going to have sex. His place or hers both work. So do hotel rooms. Don’t have your evening ruined by making out in a parked car only to be disturbed at the critical moment by a policeman who wants you to get out of the car and show him your driver’s license and registration.
Your dating life does not need to include a Tinder dating disaster. A little common sense goes a long way to prevent this sort of thing. Get to know the person before meeting in private. Always have an out on an early date. And, if it looks too go to be true, it probably is just that, too good to be true.
