Cheap First Date
A cheap first date does not need to be a bad first date. It just needs not to cost a lot of money. You met your friend online and have been chatting in cyberspace. Now it is time to meet face to face but you are a little short of cash. You need to think up a cheap first date that will not make her, or him, think that you are not interested. So, where can you go and what can you do on a cheap first date? First of all there are interesting places to go that are open free on certain days of the week. These places include museums, art galleries, and other attractions. Open air parks are free and are great places to roam around in while getting to know your new friend on a cheap first date.
Food on a cheap date can be a hot dog or a pretzel from a street vendor or a cappuccino with a shared pastry at the corner coffee shop. A good cheap first date idea is to keep things simple. First dates often turn out badly because the couple tries too hard to make it perfect and in doing so makes the first date too complicated. On a first date you will want to have a good time and get to know the person you are going out with. An evening at an expensive restaurant may just end up making both of you feel uncomfortable, trying to look good and act perfect. A cheap first date removes overly high expectations, lets both parties relax, and usually leads to long conversations and a second date.
How do you explain a cheap first date versus flowers, limousine, and a fancy restaurant? You don’t! A first date has to do with getting to know each other, not impressing each other. If you start out a relationship with the belief that you need to always impress your partner and always go to the best restaurants, drive the best cars, pay for the best seats at the concert, buy the best home, and more it is typically a recipe for failure in a relationship. A cheap first date is a good way to start out. It removes the issue of trying to seem to be someone that you are not. It also helps both persons focus on each other and not peripheral issues.
Does a cheap first date mean that every date will be on a budget? It might be if you are going to school, paying tuition, and struggling to make ends meet. A cheap date might just be a way to start a relationship on the basis of liking each other and not trying to impress each other. Although it is certainly possible to enjoy the company of each other without always trying to impress there is nothing wrong with a nice restaurant, great tickets to a great concert, or saving your money to buy a nice car. It is a matter of perspective. That is the value of a cheap first date.
